the Science Buddies
Science Buddies is a non-profit organization focused on developing science enrichment tools for students in grades K-12. The free digital tools are designed to promote deep understanding of scientific experimentation through student science fair projects. Resources include:
1) Topic Selection Wizard: an online survey that helps students narrow a scientific area of interest for their science fair project. In addition, the Wizard provides students with a series of sample projects in each of the categories. 2) Science Fair Project Guide: this tool walks students through each step of completing a project -- picking a topic, identifying and controlling variables, developing a research plan, and setting up a display board. 3) Ask an Expert Forum: Free online venue staffed by volunteer science professionals, where students can get answers to science questions or guidance in developing their projects.
