This learning module lets students interactively explore how the Law of Conservation of Energy applies at the atomic level. It includes multiple simulations on topics that include kinetic and potential energy, energy conversion, energy transfer in open systems, and analysis of energy graphs.

This item is part of the Concord Consortium, a nonprofit research and development organization dedicated to transforming education through technology. The Consortium develops deeply digital learning innovations for science, mathematics, and engineering. Users may register for additional free access to a Teacher's Guide and capability to capture data.
