This applet simulates a harmonic coupled line of masses moving in one dimension. The number and size of loads, damping, speed of the simulation and stiffness of the springs are adjustable, and the phases and magnitudes of the normal modes are shown. The applet also simulates elastic collisions and weak couplings. Source code is included.
